Precious metal alloys

Precious metal alloys

We have made pretty alloys with gold, silver, platinum and palladium. These include colored alloys, alloys with unexpected ductility (in combo with rare-earth elements), potential catalysts and work that is leading to some methods for new brass computation

And more alloys

Precious metal alloys

Light alloys are sought after for energy efficiency. Projects here have been on light and strong Mg+rare-earth alloys and thermodynamics of Al+Ti+more alloys. We've also done projects on shape memory alloys and magnetic properties
